I’m Gabrielle, and I’m so glad you’re here.

I’ve always been a go-getter. My working life started at age 12, delivering pamphlets — my first taste of independence and earning my own money. By age 14, I was knocking on McDonald’s door for my first “real” job. That drive for purpose and achievement has never left me.

Over the years, I’ve thrown myself into many sectors: construction, education, training, real estate, and even hospitality (yes — I was that Aussie expat bartender in my mid-20s, living and working overseas). Each experience gave me a new perspective on people, work, and what it means to build a fulfilling career.

In education, I began as a trainee and progressed to multiple National Leadership roles. I’ve taught toddlers, teenagers, and adults — in early learning settings, high schools, and the workplace. This journey uncovered my passion for mentoring, leading with purpose, and helping others unlock their potential.

But it hasn’t all been easy.

Like many of my clients, I’ve experienced burnout, found myself in environments that didn’t align with my values, and juggled the demands of leadership, study, motherhood, and self-doubt. Those chapters taught me about boundaries, resilience, and what truly matters in a meaningful, sustainable career.

Also, acknowledging my neurodiversity gives me a slightly different lens.

All of this shaped my belief that careers aren’t linear — and that’s exactly why I founded You Careers.
